Do Hard Things/ SLU 101/ THIS WHOLE SUMMER!

This summer really changed my whole life and revolutionized my thinking.

SLU 101 (student leadership university) was great I learned to be a great leader and how to set a christian example for others and SO MUCH MORE! Then I was introduced to many great books like " Do Hard Things " by: Brett and Alex Harris which really opened my eyes and I'm recommending it to ALL my friends. It's been a fantastic summer I'm so excited to go back to school and share my new found knowledge! :)

The Launch

Sorry I haven't been writing much but I just HAD to write about this event going on at my church, Student-[i]mpact! Ok the Launch is a 3 day event Friday, Saturday and Sunday. We'll be going to the Ranch and having a bonfire service, then we'll be going to southeast dallas for a Medical Outreach, then we're going to hear a motivational speaker and our very own special guest speaker: LANDON HENERY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't get me wrong I like going to school seeing my friends learning ect. but I love Ice Days!!!!! I love them because I can have a quiet alone time you know doing things I enjoy like reading, praying, doing activity books, reading cheesy joke books, IMing and texting my friends, spending time with the family but this ice day is my FAV! There's no school, no homework AND there's church tonight too!!! I'm gonna go IM people so I'll write again tomorrow!

SLU

I want to go to Student Leadership University or SLU for short SO badly!!!!!!! That's why I am going to start my own business! I love babysitting and I have a way with kids so I'm going to start my own babysitting business I know it sounds childish kinda because older people like do the drive thru windows and such but since I'm only 12 it's the best job I can get that's not boring or involves cracking eggs on my head (Jesse). But I'm also gonna have back up babysitters for like during the week since I kinda have limited time and I'm gonna get 10% of their profit because I got them their job! So it'll work ( I hope.) but if not I'll also be saving my money that I get from my allowance. I really want to go maybe I'll ask the drama team about some fundraising Ideas. Maybe the church will have some things I can do to get money for it. Can't wait to get started on some work!!! (I so hope this works.)

Finally It has happened!

Finally a few days ago God spoke to me for the first time! I'm so excited we talked about my possible carrer choices, he helped me understand some things and we talked about spiritual journeys it was SO AWESOME I didn't sleep all night I was talking with him and reading his word and I feel Whole!

New Years Eve

Well it's New Years Eve, the last day of the year. Everyone is making New Years Resolutions but I usually take time to see the changes in my life like I used to care about things that didn't matter like how much stuff I had but now I care about like what I can offer to other people, not just myself. As I said many People make New Years Resolutions I do make those too here's some of my goals:

1. Figure out my spiritual gifts

2. Try to figure out what god wants me to do with my life

3. Go on a missions trip (hopefully this is possible!)

4. Do Champions and other things that I should have done like Navigators.

5. Maintain Good Grades

It's easy to get caught up in the holidays and on regular days and I want to make sure I know what god wants me to do, what my gifts are, and how I can get to know him more that's why I REALLY want to go to church now and get some wise advice! I already am serving god by being on the DRAMA TEAM!!!!!! ( WAHOO! GO [i]D!!!!!!!!!!) I've been thinking about the members ALL WEEK!!! like Ashton and Emryn Can't wait to see them! I haven't laughed all WEEK!!!!!! I need to go to Drama and laugh but I know because I want time to speed up it will slow down so I gotta think about something else. Oh gtg do my chores bye!

Hey this is me again OK well I wanna talk about my church I go to Grace Outreach Center in Plano, But the Teen ministry is Called Student-Impact which is AWESOME!!!!!!!!! <3>They're cool but the students are cool too! Jesse is our worship leader (also leads [i]worship which u can join if u come) David is like the guy who helps everybody (also leads [i]face the greeting and hospitality team which u can also join) Josh teaches Base Camp 4 high school (mid-High peoples see Jullian). Dennis teaches High-Schoolers and Mid-High sat. and wed. nights, Johnny teaches Mid-High Sun. Mornings. There are also things other than those u can join like [i]Drama (WAHOOOOO!!!!!!!!!! GO [i]D!!!!!!!!!!) (see Johnny or Helaina) [i]Choir (see Nicloe Day) [i]Productions (also see Jesse) or [i]Move (see Stacey Daniel) 4 more info go to the site which is www.student-impact.com the link is in my link box up and to the left, then visit the get involved page on there and u'll see other info on getting involved also the place does have an address which is on the site and yes it has a nursery, pre-school room, childrens church, and adult services along with the teen services!!!!! Different...

As some observant people may have noticed people act very differently around different people and possibly things. Such as someone might be very nice and pleasent to one person and perfectly rude to the person next to them once the person leaves. Another example that I've personaly noticed is that people act differently while by a water dispenser than by say perhaps a box of pencils neatly sharpened. People can be very strange when it comes to the company they keep, there is a saying that says " You can judge a man's character by the company he keeps. " that I can say I don't necessarily believe to be true. There are perfectly pleasent people in the world who are accompanied by extremely unpleasent people hardly trying to even act pleasent, So that doesn't reflect their character nor personality at all. What I've found is that it's always rude to interrupt a person when speaking but, of course, when that person is a non pleasent person it's very hard to stop yourself. It'd be very much easier to figure a person out if they'd just act one way all the time. That way it would make our lives a little ounce less stressful then it already appears to be, and since people tend to only show half of their personal emotions that'd be twice as much stress. Many people do not like to be reminded of the fact of stress and try to keep it from showing though it's obviously there, but others people's emotions is none of our business, now is it? For my last sentence { Which is appearently not this one} it will sum up what I've said. Some people are observant, some aren't and that people all together are strange beings that claim to be normal but obviously aren't.

Thanksgiving Break

Wow I can't belive it I miss school!!!!! I wish I was there with my friends but things are relaxed here which is kinda nice I guess if you're a calm person unlike myself who is upbeat most of the time. I miss my friends SOOOOO much even the guys who make the inaproproate jokes, oh well I'll be back Monday!

I was Right

I do feel better me and Madi are friends again but who had a doubt? My brother has a friend are talking about weird and random topics. It was a interesting day I could see god working in Madison and her Family because I know that they're going through tough times but I see god helping her through it and really thankful 4 it!

Well I don't know if Madi is mad @ me or what I understand she had a bad day but she was snapping at everyone! :( I wish she'd grow up just a tad more to be able to handle these emotions in a rational and realistic way. Madi was so mad she was trying to intimidate me or something to prove she was mad it really hurt me inside because friends don't do that unless they're really upset which she shouldn't be I'm gonna call Sarah because she's been absent 2 days now starting to get worried and then Madi then if her problem doesn't get solved by then, then I'm gonna call in my back- up people to make her feel better. Bye.

Friends

Today I'm dedicating this whole entry to friends!

Friends can be as comforting as a cup of cocoa on a cold winter's night, but you need to be careful who you choose! Here is some things that I look for in a friend

* Respect: They've got to respect me for who I am and not make fun of me when I do something crazy!

* Nice: They've got to be sweet or it won' t work like if they insult people or you on a normal basis it doesn't work for me!

* A good listener/ advice giver: Because I need someone who will listen and give me advice to my problem not the one who the problem is about!

* Just someone who will be there 4 me: I need someone who will stand up for me no matter what and won't gossip about me no matter how mad they get!

* A person who won't fight: Someone to be with when I'm down who I know will not get mad at me anytime soon!

* A no expectations friend: Someone who doesn't make me feel like I have to be someone I'm not to be friends with them!

Those were some of the things I look 4 in a friend. Now next subject things you can't ignore if a friend does this to you:

* Gossips about you regularly even if you were sitting right there!

* Takes advantage of you and your kindness

* Lies to you ( by not addressing her when she does this your telling her it's ok to lie to you )

* Makes fun of you all of the time.

* tells you if you don't help me cheat then were not friends! ( the taking advantage begins )

* Or if she gives you the cold shoulder every other day! ( on again off again friend )

Those things you CAN'T ignore!!!

If you and a friend get in a fight here's some tips that I use

* Talk it out

* LISTEN

* Tell her what you think happened

*NEVER give the cold shoulder it doesn't work!

* And put yourself in her shoes what is she feeling???
